A Weekend Trip: Part 2

On the second part of our weekend trip we ventured to Memphis, TN and Oxford, MS.  Michael has always wanted to experience The Grove tailgating experience at Ole Miss and I must say, these people know how to tailgate.  The Grove goes on forever, the tents are outfitted with custom curtains, chandeliers, professional flower arrangements, lace table cloths, silver serving dishes and pinterest inspired decor.  Someone could make a killing creating custom tailgate decor for Ole Miss fans.  Here are just a few pictures I snapped.
{silver & candlesticks}
{custom chevron curtains for a pop-up tent}
{Beautiful tablecloth & matching lamps}
{a peek at the grove}
{adorable burlap pennant sign}

We stayed in Memphis over the weekend and experienced Beal Street and some amazing BBQ at Central BBQ.  If you are ever in Memphis I highly recommend it.

A Weekend Trip: Part 1

This past weekend Michael and I went on a road trip through 5 states in 5 days!  We drove up to Atlanta last Thursday & made a trip to Scott's Antique Market on Friday morning.  I have been dying to make a visit to Scott's and it was just as great as I expected.  The only thing that would have made it better, would have been some more cash in my pocket.  I could have gone crazy buying things for our home.  Everything has such character and all of the furniture is so well built.  I only made one purchase; a series of egg and nest prints.  I splurged on the nests, but the eggs were only $15 a piece.  I was originally planning on framing them and using them in one of the bathrooms, but the colors look amazing in our master bedroom.

I felt so inspired as I walked around and browsed at all of the amazing prints, lighting, furniture and accessories.  Here are just a few things that caught my eye...

These letters made with old ceiling tiles would be perfect for a rustic wedding, and then used in the couples home for decor.

This old industrial cart turned bar cart is fabulous!!! Michael and I have several of these carts we are refinishing and selling.  Since we do not have space in our house we are considering making one of these and renting it for events and weddings.  It would make a unique bar, dessert table or gift table.

I loved this booth and their amazing table scape.  I have a love for boxwoods and these made my heard beat just a little bit faster.

These reindeer made out of logs and sticks are just so adorable.  Im crossing my fingers that Michael will make me one or two before the holidays.

These pictures barely capture how amazing Scott's it, so if you live in Atlanta or happen to be passing through the second weekend of the month make sure you stop in.

Celebrating Two Years

Michael and I celebrated our anniversary on Tuesday.  Well, technically we did not "celebrate" until last night.  We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Bistro Aix, a local restaurant just down the street.  At the end of our meal our waitress informed us that someone had paid for our meal & wanted to remain anonymous.  We were baffled not only that someone would do that, but we were also curious as to who it was.  Nobody knew that we would be there, and we did not see anyone we knew in the restaurant.  So, if you are reading this and paid for our dinner...THANK-YOU!  What a wonderful and unexpected surprise.

Just a few pictures from the best day of my life...

The past two years have been some of the most challenging I have ever faced, due to my mom's cancer battle but I would not have made it without Michael by my side.  He has given me so much support and with him is where I feel most comfortable.  I love doing life together and look forward to many more wonderful years together.
